As Volunteers’ Week 2026 is celebrated across the UK, Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) Dafydd Llywelyn is highlighting the invaluable contribution of volunteers who help shape and support policing across the Dyfed-Powys area.

The annual campaign, running from 1–7 June, recognises the dedication, compassion, and skills that volunteers bring to a wide range of causes, from detainee rights to animal safety and welfare. OPCC volunteers play a key role in ensuring that policing is open, transparent, and responsive to the needs of local communities.

The Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC) proudly coordinate nine volunteer schemes, offering Dyfed-Powys residents’ meaningful opportunities to make a difference.

This year, our volunteering schemes are being highlighted via a free online webinar hosted by Police and Crime Commissioner Dafydd Llywelyn. The webinar offers the public an opportunity to explore more about each scheme, meet the volunteer liaisons, and have an opportunity to ask questions about which opportunities best match their interests and skills.

  • Tuesday 2nd June
  • 13:00-14:00
  • Online via TEAMS

Police and Crime Commissioner Dafydd Llywelyn says:

“Volunteers’ Week serves as a powerful reminder that every single volunteer makes a positive difference to policing in the Dyfed-Powys area. Every volunteer contributes to transparency and high stands in policing, and builds bridges between the public and police. I thank every volunteer who dedicates their time to volunteering on behalf of my office and the important contributions each volunteer makes.”
