PCC holds Community Engagement Day in Carmarthenshire
Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) Dafydd Llywelyn spent the day in Ammanford and Carmarthen on Wednesday 25 March as part of a community engagement visit, meeting with different departments in Dyfed-Powys Police.
The day began in Ammanford where the PCC visited local Neighbourhood Policing and Prevention Team (NPPT). Discussions were held around challenges for the local communities in Carmarthenshire, and the importance of policing being visible in local communities.
During the afternoon, Police and Crime Commissioner Dafydd Llywelyn travelled to Police Headquarters in Llangunnor. There, the PCC met with the Central Prevention Hub whose role is to tackle and prevent crime.
Dafydd Llywelyn, Police and Crime Commissioner, said:
“Community Engagement Days are an important part of my role as Police and Crime Commissioner. Speaking with Neighbour Policing and Prevention Teams and Central Prevention Hub gives me an opportunity to learn more about issues Dyfed-Powys communities face. The dedication from these teams is vital to keeping our communities safe for all and creates stronger relationships between the public and Dyfed-Powys Police.”
