During Volunteers Week, Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) Dafydd Llywelyn hosted a successful webinar which focused on the various volunteering schemes the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC) offers in the Dyfed-Powys policing area.

The virtual event, attended by professionals, students, and current OPCC volunteers, explored how OPCC volunteering schemes can create positive impact on policing in the Dyfed-Powys area and create better relationships with local communities.

PCC Dafydd Llywelyn introduced the volunteer liaisons who both described each of the 7 volunteering schemes; including activities and duties, how volunteers have influenced positive change, and requirements for each scheme. Attendees later had the opportunity to ask the PCC and the volunteer liaisons questions.

Dafydd Llywelyn, Police and Crime Commissioner, said:

“One of the key takeaways from the webinar is that my volunteer schemes don’t just benefit communities, they also empower individuals by building skills and confidence that they can use in the future. Volunteers for my office create a vital link and relationship between Dyfed-Powys Police and the communities we serve. A special thank you to all those who attended my webinar!”
